Losing your temper can cost you. When Moses led the people out of Egypt and into the wilderness, he had no reason to think that failure would lie ahead and that he would not ever see the promised land. It was only natural for him to expect to lead the people into the land of milk and honey.
However, the people rebelled and were filled with fear. It took forty years for the people to get their hearts right – and in the process, Moses lost his temper in disobedience and disqualified himself from taking the last leg of the journey. When a leader loses his/her temper, it rarely works to their advantage. Just ask Moses.
